The new Canary Confectionery Factory in Amman, Jordan, that
will produce the well-loved Jordanian cocoa cream filled wafer biscuits was
officially opened on 29th June.
The project, designed and supervised by CCG, was visited for
its official opening by CCG’s CEO, Fahed Abujaber, and Project Manager, Ramzi
Zeidan.
With an overall built-up area of 8,000m2, the 6-floor
factory houses 6 industrial processing lines to optimize production
capabilities and the project’s capacity.
CCG was involved from the very first stages of this project
in 2018, from the initial concept design, throughout the entire architectural,
interior, and engineering design process and all the way to supervision
of the project’s construction.
The outdoor elements of the project include underground
water tanks, LPG tanks, a generator, and a
transformer plus entrance and exit gates with green areas and walkways. The
on-site infrastructure networks included the water network, wastewater network,
surface and storm drainage network, electrical power, electrical distribution
system and street lighting.
CCG’s work on this project included architectural and
engineering consultancy and design services from the conceptual design stage up
to and including construction drawings for built and outdoor project elements
and on-site infrastructure networks, as well as interior design, preparation of
tender documents, tendering and supervision of construction.
