Project Description

An adaptation of the embassy’s existing structure, with sustainable strategies implemented throughout, as per Dutch architect Rudy Uytenhaak’s design concept.

Daylight is optimized, solar panels light the rooms, and shading protects them from heat. A rainwater harvesting system preserves the garden, the pool is a thermal storage tank, and sustainable furniture and local building materials are used.

The project is one of the first green non-domestic buildings in Jordan, and the first to achieve LEED silver certification, making it a case study for green buildings that educates and raises awareness of sustainable design.
